With the aim of satisfying consumers, Leonidas was the first Belgian company in its field to ensure the HACCP (Food Quality Assurance System) certification for its products in 1998. In 2001, it certified the quality of its products with ISO 9001.
Our chocolates are so fresh that they melt in the mouth, they are crisp and delicious because in Leonidas we respect tradition. All of our chocolates are made from 100% cocoa butter – in shell and filling – despite the recent European law that allows the use of vegetable fats instead of cocoa butter.
Cream, fresh butter, fresh cream, cocoa of the finest varieties, hazelnuts from Turkey, “Morello” cherries from Perigold, almonds from Italy, walnuts from Grenoble. Each ingredient is strictly selected to satisfy the senses, impart delicacy to the taste and harmonize aromas.
To preserve the fragrances of ingredients used in making each chocolate, Leonidas recommends that its products be consumed within 8 days of purchase and kept in a cool place (15-18 ° C).
Since 1913, as Leonidas Kestekidis, the founder and first chocolate maker, Leonidas takes care of her fine chocolates to be characterized by a delicate harmony. Today, young and old enjoy more than 80 different types of chocolate from Brussels to New York and from Paris to Hong Kong!
